Austin Stacks 3-13 St. Pats/Ballymac 0-10
In Ballymac this evening (22nd Sept) we strolled into our first County Club Championship final since 2008 after a brilliant display, especially in the first half at the end of which we led by 2-8 to 0-3. Eight players, including wing back Gazza O’Connor and our two midfielders, Shane Carroll and Ciaran O’Connell, were on the score sheet in that first half with our two goals coming from Darragh O’Brien (16m) and Danny Carroll (24m).
Darragh was on target again for our 3rd goal seven minutes after the resumption and after that Wayne and his team emptied the bench and with five more points in that half we ended up with a winning margin of twelve points. All our sixteen scores came from play.
