U21’s Breeze Through to Quarter Finals

U21 Club Championship
Austin Stacks 2-19; St. Marys/Reenard 0-3.

Missing a number of key players from their first round success a fortnight ago the visitors were unable to cope with a very accomplished display by our boys in the last 16 of the County Club Championship played in ideal conditions in Connolly Park on this Tuesday evening (14^th Aug).  At half time we lead by 1-10 to 0-2 – our goal coming in the 12^th minute from the ever improving Seamus Bastible coming up from his wing back position.  The second half was equally one way where we added a further 1-9 to 0-1 for the opposition – our goal coming from substitute Frankie Murphy in the 50^th minute.

Apart from the result, the manner of our display will be most pleasing to Wayne and his backroom team (Sean Power, John Tobin and Ger Mannix).

Kyle Fitzgibbon and Don Quinn picked up early injuries and we wish them a speedy recovery.
