U21 Club Championship
St. Pats 0-03 Austin Stacks 4-21
Our U21s advanced to round 2 of the Co. Club Championship with a good win over St. Pats (who were missing some first choice players) played in Blennerville on Monday evening (1st Aug). Eleven of our players contributed to our scoring tally, with Thomas Moore and Don Quinn raising green flags in the first half and Danny Carroll scoring both our second half goals. At half time we lead by 2-13 to 0-3 and went on to score a further 2-8 in the second half. Team: Barry Galvin, Shane Fitzgerald, Sean Purcell, Denis O’Neill, Alan Crean, Ronan Shanahan (0-2), Seamus Bastible (0-1), Wayne Gutherie (Capt) (0-2), Fearghal MacNamara (0-1), Thomas Moore (1-1), Fiachna Mangan (0-2), Don Quinn (1-0), Danny Carroll (2-1), Darragh O’Brien (0-7 – 5 frees), Greg Horan (0-1). Subs: Alan Duggan (33m), Thomas McLoughlin (42m), Shane Crowley (42m) (0-3). We have a home game against An Ghaeltacht in the next round on a date yet to be announced.
