We had a comprehensive victory over Kenmare in the quarter final of the Acorn Life U21 Club Championship, which was played in Connolly Park on Wednesday last. We were always on top. Our inter play between midfielders and forwards was a joy to watch, especially in the first half. The ball was being sent in quickly, which suited our forwards. Our goal in the first half came from a good, quick passing move from Barry Walsh, to Darragh O’Brien, who sent the ball to David Mannix and the final pass to Danny Carroll was inch perfect and he finished with a low shot to the net.
At half time we led 1-11 to 0-01.
