Div 1: Kerins O’Rahillys A 2-3 Austin Stacks A 4-17
Div 9: Kerins O’Rahillys B 1-1 Austin Stacks B 4-11
Managers Brian Morgan, Fionan Ryan, Pat Morgan and Kieran Hennebrey will be delighted with two comprehensive victories over our local rivals in Strand Road on Wednesday evening. Our A’s now have two victories in two games and top the Division 1 table. We dominated this match throughout but only led by 3 at the break, 0-8 to 1-2. Following an early second half goal by the Blues we totally took over scoring 4-9 to 0-1 in the closing 20mins. Most notable in this was a 2-3 total for inside forward Ferdia O’Brien but it would be wrong to single out one player on a night in which each one excelled. Team: Joseph Kinsella, Rory Hill, Colin Griffin (capt), Darren Bastible, Dylan Hennebry, Sean Fitzmaurice, Cathal O’Reilly, Calvin Foley, Jack Morgan, Michael O’Donnell, Oisin Fitzgerald, Daragh Scanlan, Ferdia O’Brien, Sean Dukes, Louis Ryle. Subs: Dylan Daly, Anthony Lonergan, Philip Quilter.
Our B’s also had a big win and now have one win and one loss from their two games. Team: Conor O’Nuallian, Darren Chester, Rory Forbes, Cian Liston, Adam McEllistrim, Ian Moynihan, Shane O’Neill, Keelan Pierce, Philip Quilter, Sean Tansley, Michael Linnane, Ciaran O’Reilly, Donagh McKivergan, Shane Walsh, Odhran Liston, Joseph O’Connor, David Fitzmaurice.
