Under 12s had another feast of football on Sunday last, with the very successful Go Games being enjoyed by all. With 3 matches on it was a busy evening, hosting teams from Killarney clubs of Legion and Dr Crokes. In the C match our team, managed by Jim O’Connor, showed great skill and effort though they were beaten by a strong and lively Dr Crokes C team. The team was Garry Clifford, Jack McGrath, Cian McAulliffe, Ronan Moore, Cian Holden, Jordan O’Shea, David Couchman, Ian McCoy, Dion Moran and Jamie Fitzgerald. The idea of the Go Games was well demonstrated by young Garry Clifford (a chip of the old block!), who was making good saves and clearances in goals in the first half, while in the second was scoring at the other end from both play and frees.
The B team contested and won a great match against Legion B and every one of this team played a great brand of football: Darragh O’Sullivan, Conor Higgins, Cian Hill, Donagh McMahon, Ronan Foley, Dean O’Connell, Michael Slattery, Dean Scanlon, Kieran Killeen, Evan O’Connor and John Holmes. The final score was 3-10 to 3-5, and this team was managed by Pat Slattery.
The A team won their match against Legion A very well – managed by Jerry Fitzmaurice and Éamonn Linnane – and all the players are showing that they can play in different positions all over the field. The team was Dylan Casey, David Fitzmaurice, Gearóid Fitzgerald, Michael Linnane, Tomas Sheehy, Shane Walsh, Ciarán O’Reilly, Donagh McKivergan, Gearóid Sheehan, Jodge O’Connor, Podge Looney.
