Who would have thought in 2011 that Strictly Come Dancing would become such a successful fundraiser for the Nuns Field Development at Austin Stacks GAA Club? Our enterprising finance committees and club members have put in trojan work over the past five years in organising the event and now, in 2016, another 12 couples under the expert tutelage of choreographer Jackie O’Mahoney are almost ready to take to the floor of the Festival Dome on Saturday 27th August – Tickets are available from Garvey’s Supervalu, Kevin Barry’s shop, Rock Street, O’Connell’s Pharmacy, St.Brendan’s Park & The Clubhouse at Connolly Park. Get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

The winning couple will be presented with the Helen Dowling and Jimmy Barry Memorial Cups, and the couple’s chosen charity will receive a cheque for €500. A great night’s entertainment in the Festival Dome is assured, so be sure to get your tickets in plenty of time…Rock On!
