Our minors take the stage at 7pm in Connolly Park tonight as they take on Dr Crokes in the county minor league Div 1 semi final. The town of Tralee is well represented at this juncture of the competition with reigning champions John Mitchels at home to Kerins O’Rahilly’s in the other semi final on Saturday (3pm). Having defeated the same opposition last Friday evening (2-11 to 0-8) we retain home venue for this match up. The squad is almost back to full strength for this tie with Shane Crowley recovered from a groin strain and Greg Horan eligible to play. Only Pa Fitzgibbon (knee) and Paul Galvin (hamstring) remain doubtful.
Pat O’Shea’s Crokes for their part will come to Connolly Park sure to have learned some valuable lessons from last weeks dress rehearsal. They will look to emulate last year’s achievement in getting to the final and will be strengthen by a number of key players returning from injury.
Extra time will be played in the event of a draw.
