Academy: Our U6, U8 & U10 girls braved blustery training conditions in Caherslee last Sunday morning. We will train again this Sunday in Caherslee at 11am. Killarney Legion will make their annual trip to Connolly Park on Sunday October 8th – this will also be the date for our annual fundraising Cake Sale. October 14th will mark the final day of this year’s football academy and we hope to close the season with some challenge games V Old Mill Ladies Club, Newcastlewest on that date.
U12 Girls: Congratulations to U12B team who won the Town League Div 2B Final V Ballymac in Ballyrickard last Sunday. Well done girls. We now turn our attention back to the Town League Div 1 competition – Our 2nd game in this competition saw us away to Ballymac last Tuesday (Sept 12th) and in a great game we just fell short losing out to the Ballymac side by 2 points FT Ballymac 2-3 Stacks 1-7.

U14 Girls – Co. League Div 1 Shield Final FT Abbeydorney Stacks – a very disappointing night where we played well below par but no excuses as we say congratulations to Abbeydorney on an excellent performance & win. Las Tuesday nights game V Abbeydorney also doubled up as a round of the North Kerry League. We have one more game left to play in NK and that will be V Ballymac fixture tbc. U14A Town League games still to be played Ballymac, John Mitchels & Na Gaeil. We will kick off our U14B Town League this evening (Sept 14th) when we play away to Ballymac at 6.30pm, games remaining (FT Stacks B 7-5 Ballymac 1-1) – Kerins O’Rahillys & Churchill.
U16 Girls: Our Town League game away to Ballymac did not go ahead last Sunday. We are due to play Na Gaeil away at 6.30pm on Thursday next September 21st in a game which will double up as the North Kerry League and Town League. We would hope to play Ballymac on Sunday 24th (match details tbc). That will leave us with just John Mitchels to play to complete our Town League.
Senior Ladies: Our Co. League game V Listowel did not go ahead last Sunday morning as unfortunately Listowel cancelled at very short notice. Our final game in the Co. League V Currow – match goes ahead this Friday at 6.45pm on the Nuns Field Connolly Park. Our opponents in the Munster Intermediate Championship have been confirmed as Burren Gaels who made the senior breakthrough at their 4th attempt after their 2-09 to 1-11 intermediate final win over Liscannor last Saturday.
