Club Fundraiser/British Open Golf: With the British Open just around the corner, we’re running our annual British Open Golf Fundraiser — and we’re asking all members and non members to get involved.

Not only is this a bit of fun around the golf but it’s also a vital part of keeping Austin Stacks GAA Club going strong. Every euro raised goes directly back into the club — improving the facilities, supporting our events, upgrading gear, upgrading equipment, maintaining the fields and most importantly making sure players of all ages can continue to enjoy everything the club offers.

If you enjoy being part of the club — whether you’re playing, watching, your kids are part of our academy or you’re here for the social side — this is your chance to give something back.

If you don’t know anything about golf, thats okay – there is an option to do a quick pick! (Last year’s winner was a quick pick!)

We really need your support. Buy a line or even better a card, spread the word, and help us make this a success.

Let’s pull together and back the club that gives us all so much.

Girls Academy:   Well done to all the girls who played in the North Kerry Ladies Terry’s Butchers U10 fun blitz last Saturday morning. Great to see so many girls representing the club against numerous clubs from North Kerry. A big thank you to Ollie, Katie & Ruth who managed our 2 teams & looked after the girls so well, to all the referees and all the parents who helped out during the blitz. The Kellogg’s Cul Camp is taking place in Connolly Park this week so there will be no U10 training this Wednesday night.   The Austin Stacks Club Summer Camp takes place from July 28th to Friday Aug 1st. No need for pre-booking just come along on the first morning of the camp to register.  Training for our U6 and U10 girls will take place in Caherslee this Sunday at 11am.  Our U8s will head to Ballyrickard on Sunday morning to take on KOR as part of the Lee Strand Summer Go Games Series. Throw in at 10am.

U12 Girls:  Another 5 Star performance from our U12 girls last Friday evening in the Lee Strand Summer Go Games V Kerins O’Rahillys girls in Connolly Park.  Great to see Taylor, our captain on the night, back in action and well done to Olivia on her debut in the Black & Amber. Thanks to Kerins O’Rahillys and referee George for Friday night’s game U12 Training continues this Wednesday from 6 to 7pm.

U13 Girls:  The U13 North Kerry League is set to commence this weekend with a home game V KOR at 4.30pm this Sunday July 6th.   The U13 PDP (for players born 2012) will begin this Saturday July 5th – info has been shared on players Whats App Groups.

U14: We hope to arrange a challenge game for the girls shortly.  Training continues on Wednesday evenings from 5.45pm to 7pm.  The Tralee and West Kerry U15 PDP (players born 2010 and 2011) will begin this weekend. Link for players to register has been sent into Team’s What’s App Group.
U16/18:  We were due kick off the U16 Co. League with an away game V Beaufort this Thursday however we have been informed that the Co. League will now be put back 1 week to facilitate Kerry’s preparation for the U16 Al Final V Mayo on July until after the AI U16 final which Kerry will contest V Mayo on July 16th.  The Co. League will now officially commence on the Friday July 18th continuing every Thursday night after and including August 28th.  See note above regarding U15 PDP.  The U18 North Kerry League will commence on July 17th.
Senior Ladies:  We played a very useful challenge game away V Ballymac last Friday night as we continued our preparations for The Corrib Oil Senior Co. League commencing this Monday July 7th with a home game V Spa Killarney at 7.30pm, Rd 2 away V Abbeydorney July 14th, Rd 3 is home to Clounmacon/Moyvane on July 21st.  Our Senior Ladies train on Wednesday & Friday evenings and Sunday mornings.
G4MNO:  We welcomed Dr. Crokes G4MNO team to Connolly park last Monday evening for a very enjoyable match.  Our Weekly training continues every Monday evening from 7-8pm.  New players are very welcome just come along any evening.
Kerry: *Congratulations to our club player Eimear Dillane and her Kerry team mates who have reached the U16 ‘A’ All Ireland  Final following their victory V Cavan last  Thursday  evening. The final V Mayo takes place on Wed July 16th in Nenagh with a 7.30pm throw in * We send our best wishes to Aoife Dillane and her Kerry team mates as they face Kildare in the AI QFthis Saturday July 5th at Austin Stack Park.  Throw in is at 7.30pm
