Austin Stacks 2-6 Dr Crokes 3-16
Dr Crokes continued their winning ways with a comfortable 3-16 to 2-6 win over Austin Stacks in Rd 4 of this year’s Intermediate Championship played this afternoon (Sun Aug 27th) in Connolly Park. At HT the score was Austin Stacks 1-3 Dr Crokes 2-9. Stacks goal a cracker from mid fielder Emma Mc Carthy while Dr Crokes 1st half goals came from Katie Mc Carthy & Amanda Brosnan. Brosnan had a fantastic game contributing 1-5 to the Killarney teams total tally. Julie Delaney chipped in with 0-3 while Teresa O Sullivan marshalled superbly from midfield throughout. Great credit due to the very young Austin Stacks side who worked tirelessly throughout in particular their defence who time & time again thwarted the Crokes attack. Stacks goalie Chloe Fitzpatrick and defensive duo Ellen O Connell & Karina Slattery best for the home side today. In Rd 5 to be played next weekend Austin Stacks are away to MKL Gaels while Dr. Crokes will be at home to Scartaglen.
