MINOR FOOTBALL: Austin Stacks 1-9; Ballymac 1-6.
This first round of the Tralee/St. Brendans League played in Connolly Park on this Sunday (29th Jan) ended in a three points win for our lads after a good display by both sides. We led by 0-5 to 0-2 at half time and that was still the difference between the sides at full time with a goal and four points coming from both teams during the second period. Oliver Lata was our goal scorer half through the half with the Ballymac goal coming in the 55th minute.

Round 2 is fixed for next Saturday week (11th Feb) with an away trip to Ardfert.

WAYNE GUTHRIE: All in the Club wish Wayne Guthrie every success as he moves to the Kerry FC. Wayne has spent a glittering career with our Senior Team over the past 15 seasons, making his Senior Co. Championship debut away back in May 2008 in a round one game against Killarney Legion. Between then and last October he has lined out on 48 occasions in the SF Co. Championship. Only five other Club players have made more Championship appearances – Kieran Donaghy, Ger O’Keeffe, Mikey Collins, Ger Power and William Kirby. Best of luck again Wayne in your new venture.
IRELAND LIGHTS UP: Our next walk will be at 7pm on this Tuesday evening (January 31st). There will be support around the club to help with registration from 6:30 pm. Please remember you can also participate outside of the walks to help us reach the end goal of 4,000 km. Just download the Irish Life (my life) app and select Austin Stacks GAA as your chosen club.
