SENIOR FOOTBALL: Our Seniors have four more rounds to play in this season’s Co. League. With seven rounds played to date we have won two (against Kerins O’Rahillys and Rathmore) and lost five against Spa, Legion, Ballymac, Dr. Crokes and Dingle. Round 8, against Castleisland Desmonds goes ahead in Connolly Park on next Sunday afternoon at 3pm.Desmonds, like ourselves, are in the bottom half of the League table and, like ourselves, will be going all out for victory.
B FOOTBALL: Our B team’s game in the Division 5 Shield competition against Rathmore B. in Connolly Park has now been brought forward to Friday evening (2nd June) with a 7pm start
THE C TEAM: With O’Rahillys withdrawing from the competition we have one more round to play in the Co. League – at home to Laune Rangers on w/e 18th June.
THE D TEAM: Our D team were already warming-up in Connolly Park for our round 4 Co. League game on last Sunday afternoon (28th May) when news came through that Tarbert were conceding as they could not field a team. This still leaves us with just one game played in this five round competition to date (a brilliant win against Scartaglin by 5-14 to 1-1 in round 2) Our 5th and final round game is away to Clounmacon on w/e 18th June. No details have yet come to hand about our postponed games against Duagh and Beaufort.
MINOR FOOTBALL: After a four points defeat (2-12 to 0-14) by Cork in the Munster Quarter Final in Páirc Uí Chaoimh a few weeks ago (11th May) the two sides will meet again in the Munster Final which takes place in Austin Stack Park on this Friday evening (2nd June) at 7.30pm. We wish the team, including our own six players on the panel (Ben Murphy, Daniel Kirby, Paddy Lane, Ronan Carroll, Ryan O’Driscoll and Seán Óg Brosnan), and the Team Manager, our own Wayne Quillinan, every success on the night.

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS: Ciara Nix is one of the Club’s outstanding workers, specializing with her Twitter updates on Match Days, among other things. Ciara celebrates her 21st birthday this week (Tuesday, 30th May) and everyone in the Club and in the local community wish you a very happy birthday Ciara.
CLUB CARDS: Our Card sessions continue in the Clubhouse on Mondays and Thursdays with the starting time of 9pm sharp.
CLUB LOTTO: This week’s (29th May) Jackpot worth €4,000 was not won. The winning numbers were 1, 4, 22, 26. The €20 winners were Colin Teahon, c/o The Club; Michael Kelly, c/o OnLine; Richard Quirke, c/o Richard Healy; and Philip Moriarty and Pa Clifford, both c/o Carmel O’Neill.
