Played in heavy conditions with a downpour just before the game started and tricky wind conditions did not make it ideal for a good game of football.
Mitchels opened the scoring in the 4th minute with a point from Darragh Cunnane and Darragh converted two Mitchels frees in the 8th & 9th minute to increase Mitchels lead to 3 points,George Bastible with another point from play put Mitchels 4 points up.
Donagh McKivergan had Stacks opening point from play in the 20th minute,and Donagh had two more points before half time one from a free after a foul on Adam Curran and one play to leave a point between the sides at Half time.

Darragh Cunnane from a free early in the second half had Mitchels two points ahead only for a Greg Horan point from a pass from Paul O’Sullivan and David Mannix with a pointed free levelled the match in the 11th minute of the second half.
Donagh McKivergan with a point from a free after David Mannix was fouled and shortly afterwards Eoghan Carroll from play made it a two point game.
David Mannix from a Greg pass increased Stacks lead and within a minute Greg from a David pass pointed to make it a four point game.
Niall Fitzmaurice after a great run upfield passed to David Mannix for another Stacks point and just before the end Alan O’Donoghue from a free had Mitchels second point of the half.

County League DIV 5A; Austin Stacks B 2-06 Asdee GAA 1-09

Well done to our Senior B team who still remain unbeaten after three games of the county league. On sunday we trailed Asdee at half time on a scoreline of 1-06 to 0-03 but after a tremendous fight back we came away with a point and in the end could have even snatched a win.
Next up is an away agame against Gneeveguliia B team provisionally fixed for 2pm on Sunday April 21st.

Development League Div 3:
Our Mens Senior C team start their league campaign on Saturday evening away to Reenard with a throw in time of 6-00pm. Best of luck to all the players and management for the season ahead.

1980 Minor County Championship Reunion:
On Saturday night April 6th we held a night to celebrate our 1980 Minor County Championship winning team in our clubhouse.
A fantastic night was enjoyed by All, with some players & families coming from as far away as Australia and the UK for the great Occasion.

U21 Football Championship:
The Kerry GAA U21 Football Championship is provisionally fixed to start on the week starting Monday May 20th. The opening round draw is to take place next week. Keep an eye here and our our Social media pages for more updates.

Kerry U20’s Vs Clare:
Well done to club players Daniel Kirby, Michael Tansley & Paddy Lane who all played in Kerry’s first round win in the U20 Munster Championship on Wednesday night. Kerry are away to Cork in Round 2 next Wednesday April 14th in Pairc Ui Chaoimh at 7pm.
