Tralee/St Brendans Senior Football League:

Austin Stacks 3-8 Churchill 1-5

Played under lights in the Nuns field on Saturday evening,Stacks opened the scoring in the 1st minute with a point from Fiachna Mangan,Cian Purcell with a point, and shortly afterwards followed with a goal to make it 1-2 to 0-0 after six minutes.
Shane OCallaghan with a point on eight minutes increased the lead and there was no further score until injury time when Churchill scored a goal. Leaving the half time score Austin Stacks 1-3 Churchill 1-0.
Donagh McKivergan from a free and Luke Chester from play increased the lead to 1-5 to 1-0 with three minutes gone in the second half.Cian Purcell with a goal and a Joey Nagle point shortly afterwards followed by a Churchill point made it 2-6 to 1-1 seven minutes into the second half.
Donagh McKivergan pointed a free only for Churchill with three unanswered points to leave six points between the sides.
Shane Calla with a point and a Fiachna Mangan goal late on made it a ten point game,Churchill had a point deep in injury time to finish the scoring.

The back game v Na Gaeil is on Monday 18th March at 12pm in Kileen.


2024 County League Div 2:

Our Senior Mens A team are provisionally due to start the County League on Saturday 23rd March with a game away against Fossa with a 5pm throw-in.


2024 County League Div 5A:

Our Senior Mens B team are provisionally due to start the County League on Saturday 23rd March with a game at home against Kilgarvan with a 5pm throw-in.


2024 Intermediate Club Championship:

Austin Stacks have been drawn in Group A alongside Glenbeigh-Glencar, An Ghaeltacht & John Mitchels for the 2024 Intermediate Club Championship. The top two teams in each group will advance to the quarter Final stage.
Our opening fixture will be against John Mitchels at a neutral venue.
All Dates, Times & Venues to be confirmed.


2024 Membership:

Mercy Mounthawk:

The Rock wishes the Mercy Mounthawk Under 19 footballers every success in their Hogan Cup All-Ireland Final game i bPáirc an Chrócaigh on Saturday week (16th) v last year’s All-Ireland champions, Omagh CBS. Buachaillí cróga cumasacha na Carraige ar phainéal Chnoc an tSeabhaic….Michael Tansley, James Fisher, Pádraig Ó hAllmharáin, Jack Ó Murchú, Ben Ó Murchú, Daniel Ó Ciarba, Paddy Ó Laighin, Noah Townsend, Steven Conway agus Bobby Byrne. We wish them well and hope that Corn Uí Ógáin will come to Tralee for the first time ever.

Children’s Officer:

In an ongoing commitment to creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for all children who wish to take part in GAA games and activities, the club will host a training session for mentors and coaches as follows:

Safeguarding 1 Workshop ( 3hrs) – Tuesday 12th March 2024 from 7 – 10pm. This workshop is mandatory for all coaches/mentors involved with U18 players and as such will be relevant to new coaches/mentors and those whose Safeguarding Certificates expired recently.

Both workshops will be held in Connolly Park and will be facilitated by Colette Murphy, GAA Safeguarding Tutor.


Club Cards
:

Our card sessions continue in the Clubhouse on Mondays and Thursdays with the starting time of 9 pm sharp.


CLUB LOTTO:

This week’s (4th March ) Jackpot worth €2900 was not won. The numbers drawn were 13,14,21,28.. The €20 winners were Brian Morgan, c/o The Club, Jim Finnucan, c/o The Club, John Dennis , c/o The Club, Jim Woulfe, c/o Kevin Barry’s, Denis O’Regan, c/o John Breen. Next Week’s Jackpot will be worth €2950.
