Match report by Tim Slattery
Desmonds were first on the scoreboard with a PJ Curtin free and Darragh O’Brien from a free had Stacks level after six minutes.
Maurice Hickey and another PJ Curtin free had Desmonds two points ahead on eleven minutes.
Donagh McKivergan goaled for Stacks in the 20th minute after he was first to react from a Darragh O’Brien free which came back off the upright.
PJ Curtin with two frees had the away side back in front in the 25th minute.
Conor Horan kicked a great point and Donagh McKivergan with another point had Stacks ahead by a point at the half time whistle.
Half time Score Austin Stacks 1-3 Castleisland Desmonds 0-5
Maurice Hickey with a point levelled the match after the interval only for Donagh McKiergan from a free to make it a one point game.
Greg Horan from a Darragh O’Brien pass goaled for Stacks and a Paddy Lane point after good work by Cian Purcell had Stacks five points ahead ten minutes into the second half.
Stephen Bartlett from a free reduced the lead and Stephen was called into action shortly afterwards when he saved a Darragh O’Brien penalty after a great run by Greg.
Paddy Lane and a Donagh free made it a six point game only for a Graham O’Connor free to pull one back for the away side.
Stacks finished strongly and had two points in a row from Greg and Donagh to make it a seven point game.
Graham O’Connor goaled for the away side just before the finish to leave four points between the sides.

Mens County League DIV 5 Cup

Our mens senior B team travelled to Currow on Saturday evening to face Scartaglen and for the second week in a row were narrowly defeated by a solitary goal.
Our next fixture is our final home game on Sunday June 9th against Sneem/Derryname with a throw in time of 2-00pm.

U21 Football Championship;

Match report by Tim Slattery
Stacks qualified for the Semi-Final of the County Championship for the first time since 2019 when they were beaten by East Kerry on a score of 1-14 2-9.
Colm Browne opened the scoring for Stacks with a point and Kenmare were level within a minute when Darran Allman pointed a free.
Paddy Lane had Stacks back in front from a free in the 4th minute and Darragh O’Connor from play had the home side level again in the 14th minute.
Daniel Kirby from play and Jack Tangney from a free tied the match just before the interval.
Half Time Score Kenmare Shamrocks 0-3 Austin Stacks 0-3.
Stacks with a goal from Damien Hogan and a Shane Bastible point were four points up inside three minutes of the second half.
Jimmy Lehane from play and a Darran Allman free made it a two point game.
Paddy Lane with another point from play shortly afterwards Jack O’Sullivan and Conor Horan traded points to make it 1-6 to 0-6 in favour of Stacks.
Darran Allman goaled for Kenmare in the 16th minute to level the match
Stacks were back in front with two points in a row from Paddy Lane and Jordan Kissane only for a Darran Allman free to leave the minimum between the sides.
Paddy lane had Stacks second goal in the 29th minute after good work by Kissane,Townsend and Kirby and with time up Jack Tangney had the final score of the game for Kenmare.

Anti-Bullying Workshop:
In an ongoing commitment to creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for all children who wish to take part in GAA games and activities, the club will host an Anti-Bullying Workshop on Tuesday 11th June next from 7.30-9.30pm. This workshop will be held in Connolly Park and will be facilitated by Colette Murphy, GAA Tutor. This workshop is designed for coaches involved at Juvenile level and it is expected that all Senior Club coaches will attend.

Kerry Senior Mens V Meath:
Well done to Joe, Dylan, Armin, Joey and the Kerry Seniors on their victory against Meath last Sunday. Kerry will face Louth on Sunday June 16th in their final group game where a win will secure a place in the All Ireland Quarter Final .
Kerry Senior Ladies v Donegal :
Best of luck Aoife, Darragh and the Kerry Senior Ladies team who will face Donegal in their first group game in the All Ireland series. The game is fixed for Sunday June 9th at 1-05pm in Ballybofey. The game will be shown live in the Austin Stacks GAA Club Bar.
Kerry Minors v Roscommon:
