Austin Stacks Mens B team will face Dr Crokes B in this years Molyneaux Cup Final after both sides finished top of their groups. The game will be played in Connolly Park on Sunday October 5th with a throw in time of 3pm.

Austin Stacks knew going into this game that anything but a defeat would secure a place in the Molyneaux Cup Final while Foss knew they had to win to secure their place in the final.
Fossa started brightly and were two points up after the opening two minutes. Ryan O’Driscoll kicked his first score of the day in the fourth minute and the sides were level two minutes later when Pa McCarthy kicked over. Foss restored their lead shortly after but then Ryan O’Driscoll raised the green flag after nine minutes to put the Rockies two points up.
Fossa responded with two unanswered points and the sides were level again midway through the first half. Ryan O’Driscoll kicked over two more points before the break with Conor Myers also getting on the scoresheet. Deep into injury time a sixth point for Fossa was registered to leave two between the sides at half time.

Scores were exchanged early in the second half with Ryan O’Driscoll and Gavin Casey responding to points from Fossa. Another point from Ryan O’Driscoll and a second from Conor Myers had the home side 4 points ahead as we headed into the final quarter.
Three unanswered points for Fossa was followed by a goal and suddenly the visitors were two points ahead with eight minutes remaining. This was however to be Fossa’s last score as the Stacks dominated the final minutes of the game with four points coming from Ryan O’Driscoll (one two pointer from play) and the final score of the game coming from Noah Towsend. Austin Stacks will face Dr Crokes on Sunday in the Molyneaux Cup Final.

Congratulations to Joe O’Connor on his Footballer Of The Year Nomination from all at the Austin Stacks GAA Club.
Austin Stacks GAA Club 2027
Billy Ryle, Club Vice-Chairman was delighted to present the INTERIM REPORT on the integration of Austin Stacks Ladies Gaelic Football Association Club and Austin Stacks Hurling and Football Club into Austin Stacks GAA Club from 2027 at a meeting of members of both clubs at our Connolly Park facilities on Monday night, 22nd September. It’s an exciting time for both clubs as we plan towards becoming a single unit based on equality, inclusion, respect and togetherness. The Interim Report generated a very positive discussion and the enthusiasm for a successful integration was very evident from the many constructive contributions that were made by those present. Billy will now proceed to write the FINAL REPORT on integration which he hopes to have completed later in the year for presentation to both clubs at a joint meeting of members. Sincere thanks to Éamonn O Reilly who was an excellent Chairman on this historic occasion and to Colm Mangan, who was a very efficient Recording Secretary.
