Merry Christmas
Happy Christmas to all!
As we near the year end it is a great opportunity to thank each and every person involved in and supportive of our great club. Whether as a player, coach, volunteer, parent, supporter or sponsor, your involvement in Austin Stacks has made 2024 a very successful year. From the youngest Rockie involved in our academy to those who mainly enjoy the social side of the club, the positive culture in the community that is Austin Stacks is one which we all appreciate and value. It is wonderful to know that as a community based on our national games and culture everyone is welcome, and each of us are encouraged to develop, use our talents, and thrive as individuals. We can reflect on an excellent 2024 both on and off the field, with participation levels continuing to increase at all ages, silverware being collected at many levels, backed by wonderful fundraising efforts – notably through Quid Games! We will have more opportunities to discuss the year at our upcoming AGM and Social, but before then we note our senior team have an All Ireland semifinal on 4th Jan, and wish Billy, Greg and everyone involved the very best! We also take the opportunity to remember those who passed on during the year. So on behalf of our executive committee, I wish you, your families and loved ones – wherever in the world ye might be, a very happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year, and a successful 2025!
Le meas, Éamonn O’Reilly, Acting Cathaoirleach
