Stacks made a welcome return to Senior ranks with a comprehensive victory over Templenoe in ideal weather conditions in Connolly Park.
Stacks opened the scoring on two minutes with a Sean Quilter two pointer but was quickly cancelled by two Templenoe points from Tadhg Morley and Colin Crowley. Paddy Lane from a difficult angle had Stacks back in front and we had to wait another six minutes before the next score when Ronan Shanahan made it a two point game.
Darragh O’Brien,Shane O’Callaghan and Armin Heinrich all added points by the twenty fourth minute to leave five points between the sides.
Paddy Lane after a fine run added another point and just before the interval Eoghan Carroll made it a seven point game.
Half Time; Austin Stacks 0-9 Templenoe 0-2.
Armin Heinrich had a point within a minute of the restart only for Adrian Spillane with a fine goal for Templenoe reduced the gap to five points.
Armin Heinrich with two points and Killian Spillane with one point made it a six point game.
Paddy Lane goaled for Stacks after a fine movement involving Joe O’Connor and Luke Casey with twelve minutes left.Gavin Crowley with a fine two pointer had Templenoe’s last score and shortly afterwards Armin kicked his fifth point leaving eight points between the sides.
Stacks finished strongly and kicked five points in a row from Fiachna Mangan,a brace from Daniel Kirby one from out on the left hand side and Paddy Lane with a two pointer had the final score.

Example of dog fouling are increasing on the grounds and this leads to heightened infection risks for all teams playing and other patrons using our facilities.
