Moss Slattery (from Urban Terrace, Rock St.) died suddenly while playing with the SF team in a Co. League game in Castleisland on 1st April 1962. He was just 24 years old. As members may recall the Club unveiled a commemorative photograph in the Clubhouse ten years ago to mark the 40th anniversary of his death. Now, ten years on, a group of his playing colleagues and those involved with that 1962 team have got together to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his untimely death with the unveiling of an outdoor Plaque which will take place in the Club grounds on this Sunday (13th Jan) at 12 noon. All members, supporters and friends of the late Moss will be most welcome to attend the event.
