The Lee Strand is back!!
Our prestigious Lee Strand Invitational Football Tournamentreturns on Saturday next, 3rd September after a 2-year pandemic-enforced hiatus. This year’s edition sees 12 clubs (5 Kerry teams and 7 from outside the county) battle it out at our club grounds in Connolly Park for the Denis O’Connor Cup, Billy Breen Memorial Shield and Abie Allen Plate.
This important landmark in the club calendar is an under 14 competition this year (previously under 13) and will be run entirely on the day with first throw-in at 10:30am and the Cup Final at 6pm. Austin Stacks are delighted that Lee Strand have come on board again as tournament sponsors for the 35thtime since the inaugural competition back in 1986 and wish to thank Gearoid Linnane, Teresa Walker and the team at Lee Strand for their great support for our club and community. So be sure to come along on Saturday to see the future stars of Kerry and beyond in what promises to be a feast of glorious football!
