Austin Stacks Senior Ladies bowed out of the Munster Intermediate Club Championship at the semi-final stage at Mallow GAA grounds on Saturday 7th October, when they were defeated by a very strong Kinsale side on a scoreline of 8-17 to 1-5. This Kinsale team also defeated us last year in the Munster Junior Club Championship and were narrowly defeated in the All-Ireland Final. They should go far this year also. We were unfortunate to be without the services of Ellen O’Connell and Laura Rogers on the day, but the girls from The Rock gave their all, and some more, and gave us supporters plenty of reasons to be proud of them.
