MINOR B FOOTBALL: St. Pats 3-10; Austin Stacks 1-11.
In round 2 of the Co. League played in Blennerville last Sunday morning (15th March) our Minor B were defeated by the home side by five points in a high-scoring entertaining game.
Playing with the aid of the strong breeze St Pats dominated, especially during the second quarter and lead by 1-9 to 0-4 at half time.
We played much better in the secong half scoring 1-7 to 2-1. We defended very well with Darragh and Ciaran O’Connell and David Hanafin especially prominent.
Alan Crean and Michael Godley (he scored two good points) did well in the centre and up front Nicky O’Connell was chief scorer with five points, two of them from play.
Padraig Breen who scored two goals in out game two weeks ago, took his goal late in the second half with precision. Dean Bastible was on target with three points and could consider himself unlucky that one of these did not go under the bar.

Round 3 is scheduled to go ahead on this Saturday evening with an away game to Glenflesk at 4pm. Check with Club beforehand.
