As part of the annual pitch maintenance, sand was put on the field on 23rd March. The filed was rolled and spiked on 24th March. In an effort to allow the sand to ‘knit’ with the grass, it has been decided that the pitch will be closed for a short period. During this time no matches or training will be allowed on the main field in Connolly Park. All queries on this decision can be referred to Pat Joe McQuinn, who is Chairman of the Field Committee.
Your co-operation in ensuring the pitch gets the necessary time to recover from the work will be appreciated. The pitch has to be maintained and it was decided that this was the most advantageous time to carry out this essential work.
