U12 Girls: Congratulations to our U12A team on a fantastic victory on the road against Dr Crokes tonight in Killarney . The team was led by another excellent performance by our captain on the night Keria Boyle Griffin. Well done to Keria who seemed to be everywhere tonight. In goals Arina supplied some excellent ball to our midfielders and made some fantastic saves when called upon. Our full back line of Lexi Clodagh and Mary tackled fiercely when the ball was kicked into them. Our half backs on Chloe and Keria were outstanding and caused Dr Crokes great difficulty when they broke forward. In midfield both Aoibhinn and Chelsea worked so hard and really showed their fitness and ability to pick up the ball and score from distance . Half forwards Ciara and Dibora worked so well as a unit and fought really hard to win the ball from their opponents kickout. Full forward line of Sofia Ruth and Eabha won some great ball in the first half and were unlucky not to come away with a few more scores . We went into the half time with a 1-4 to 0-1 lead . From the start of the second half Dr Crokes started to come back into the game more but the team defended with great focus and soon got back on top again. Sofia followed up her first half goal with a few fantastic scores. Goals also from the fantastic Ruth and Eabha put the game beyond our opponents reach. We started to get on top even more with more great scoring from Chelsea and Aoibhinn. Well done to Keria and the team on a great performance which was watched on WhatsApp by Amelie from Spain. She really enjoyed being part of the celebrations at the end of the game. It’s great to see the team play with such confidence and belief in their own ability. In Rd 6 we are at home to Beaufort at 7pm this Wednesday (June 15th).

Our U12B team put in a fantastic performance this evening against St Pats and were unlucky to not to go away with something from the game. Alexis has a great game in goal launching booming kick outs and make numerous saves throughout the game. The backs of Eimear, Éabha-May, Moira, Clodagh O S. and Lucy were a solid unit and defended with grit and bravery. In midfield for most for the game were the hardworking Shauna and Mary who ran themselves into the ground and provided intelligence ball into our forwards. Up front Clodagh K, Dibora, Sophie Q, Sophie F and Roisin were keeping the scoreboard ticking over. Stacks trailed by 3 point at half time but the girls never gave up. Kayla came on at half time and got on to some great ball. A goal from a free by Sophie Q brought Stacks right back into the game. Momentum was now with the Stacks girls and in the closing minutes we had some chances but couldn’t reduce the deficit.
