U6, 8 10 Girls Academy: The Sun shone brightly on Connolly Park last Easter Sunday morning as over 40 girls enjoyed their training session. Obstacle courses, team drills and an Easter Egg hunt at the end of the hour all made for a great mornings fun. We are delighted to see new faces still arriving every Sunday morning – new members very welcome just drop in any Sunday morning. Training this Sunday in Caherslee at 11am see you all there.
U12 Girls: We travelled to Listowel on Monday (14th April). Listowel had beaten us well earlier in the year but just to prove (as if we didn’t know already) how much this young team have improved under the guidance of Danny & Anthony we very much held our own and led by 2 points at half time. A strong wind and 2 quick goals from Listowel early in the 2nd half dashed all hopes of a win but our girls tried to the very end and it was a much improved team performance. We will played Kerins O’Rahillys on Tuesday (22nd April) in Ballyrickard and ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of 10-1o to Kerins O’Rahillys 0-07. Well done to Chloe Fitzpatrick who played a blinder in her 1st game in goals for us at very short notice. Training again at 11am this Sunday in Connolly Park. Our last game in the preliminary stages of the Co. League will see us at home to Abbeydorney on Tuesday 29th April.
U14 Girls: Our U14 girls are through to the Quarter Final of Féile 2014 – following a great win last Sunday V Milltown Castlemaine on a score line of Austin Stacks 3-1 Milltown Castlemaine 1-4. We will now play Rathmore in the Quarter final. Congratulations to the Austin Stacks Boys U14 Féile team and management on retaining the club’s Kerry Féile title last weekend. U14 Div. 1 Co. League action resumes this weekend when we play Fossa at home (players will be notified of match details by text). Training every Tuesday & Friday at 5.30pm at Connolly Park.
U16 Girls: Our Co. League will commences V Glenflesk on May 1st. Training every Tuesday & Friday at 5.30pm at Connolly Park
Senior Ladies: Our Co. League Game V Kerins O’Rahillys/Abbeydorney did not go ahead last weekend and is now due to be played on Wednesday 30th April (venue tbc). Training every Tuesday & Friday at 5.30pm at Connolly Park .
Membership: All players should now have paid their annual membership fee. If yours is still outstanding please ensure it is paid to your team manager this week.
