Girls Academy – U6 U8 & U10s: Once again the sun was shining at Caherslee on Sunday morning for the Academy training. We had another huge turnout of girls and we would like to say welcome to Laura who came along to join in the fun. We are seeing a major difference in the level of fitness of these girls and are glad to see they are enjoying their sessions. Training again this Sunday at 11am in Caherslee. New Members very welcome just come along at 11am any Sunday morning and join in. We wish a speedy recovery to Ellie who sustained a recent injury (not playing football we hasten to add!). The Academy also wishes a happy birthday to Megan OBrien who will be 11 on the 11th April and to Rebecca Ryan who will be 15 on 16th April.
U12 Girls: Began the preliminary stages of the Co.League with a home game V Moyvane last Tuesday evening in Connolly Park at 6.30pm. Final Score Austin Stacks 4-9 Moyvane 2-2. Team Kirby Ann Ryan, Chloe Sugrue, Alex Mc Namara, Yasmin Sultan, Lara Flynn, Heather Mc Namara, Leah Long, Roisin Coffey, Aoife Dillane (0-03) Ciara Nix, Rebecca Conway (0-01), Rachel O’Donnell, Tara Clifford (1-0), Grainne Carmody (1-3), Aisling O’Shea (1-2), Brenda Devane, Vivienne Dineen, Catherine Duggan (1-0) Erica Jones, Megan O’Brien, Eimear O’Sullivan, Karima Sultan and Jessica Oke. Our next Co. League action will be away to Listowel this Monday April 14th at 6.30pm. Next Training session this Sunday at 11am in Connolly Park.
U14 Girls: Made the long journey to Cahirciveen last Sunday afternoon for Rd. 2 of Div. 1 Co. League clash V Southern Gaels. Final Score: Southern Gaels 2-4 Austin Stacks 1-2. Next Co. League game see us at home to Castleisland on a game currently fixed for 5pm this Sunday 13th April. Next training sessions this Tuesday at 5.45pm this Friday at 5.30pm
U16 Girls: Training on Tuesdays at 5.45pm. Co. League action due to commence on April 30th.
Senior Ladies: Played their 2nd Co. League game last Sunday evening against Finuge/St. Senans and what a nail bitting finished we had with “The Rockettes” holding their nerve to win on a score line of Austin Stacks 5-8 Finuge St. Senans 5-7. Well done girls! Our next game in this competition sees us take the short trip across town to take on local rivals Na Gaeil at 12 noon this Sunday 13th Aprill.
Clothes Recycling: Thanks to all who supported our clothes recycling fundraiser last Saturday morning and particular thanks to our hardworking Ladies Club Treasurer Bernie Mannix who organised the event.
