Girls Academy: Another great turnout of girls at Caherslee on Sunday.The girls showed they have been keeping active during the break with massive energy used up during various drills and games. Some girls were even lucky enough to be coached by Stacks Senior player William Kirby! This Saturday 3rd May we will visit Legion, details to follow. Austin Stacks Girls Academy have signed up for the Co. Board’s “Go Games” which will see us play Abbeydorney, Corca Dhuibhe, John Mitchells, Firies and Ballymac so it is important that the girls make training. The academy sends birthday wishes to Lucy O’Donnell who will be 8 on 1st May, to Rachel Ryan who will be 13 on 6th May and to Brenda Divane who will be 11 on 8th May.
U12 Girls: 3 Games in a Row! First up we played away to Kerins O’Rahilly’s on Tuesday (April 22nd) and notched up a fine score to come away with all the points. A great team effort from start to finish with our girls running our comprehensive winners much to the delight of their supporters. Then on Sunday last it was an early start for the team when we headed to Lispole for a game V Corcha Dhuibhne in Div. 1 of the North Kerry League. For a variety of reasons only 11 brave soldiers made the trip West but what an outstanding performance they put in. Corcha Dhuibhne ran out eventual winners but it is fair to say that our girls made them work for it right to the very end. Well done girls, great team spirit and smart football on display again. This Tuesday (April 29th) at 6.45pm we played at home to Abbeydorney in the final game of the preliminary stages of the Co. League and suffered a heavy defeat. But onwards and upwards – training this Sunday at 11am and this Tuesday at 6pm. Our final North Kerry league game see us away to Castleisland on Wednesday May 7th at 7pm.
U14 Girls: Co. League Div. 1: Fossa played us last Sunday evening in Connolly Park. The Killarney girls proved too strong and despite some heroic efforts ran out very comfortable winners. Training in Connolly park at 5.30pm every Tuesday and Friday.
U16 Girls: Co. League action for this team commences with a home game V Glenflesk at 6.30pm this Friday May 2nd. Good luck girls. We train at 7pm this Wedensday in Connolly Park.
Senior Ladies: Co. League Div. 2 result: Kerins O’Raillys/Abbeydorney 4-7 Austin Stacks 3-10. played last Sunday morning. Co. League continues with a home game V Corcha Dhuibhne currently fixed for 12 noon this Sunday May 4th. Match details and training times will be confirmed to all players by text.
