Girls Academy: U6 & U8 & U10 Girls had a great morning in Caherlsee last Sunday. Plenty of great fun and games while learning all the skills. See you all again next Sunday at 11am. Our U10’s were out in force last Wednesday evening in gloriously sunny Connolly Park where we welcomed Killarney Legion for a challenge game. The Stacks girls played really well and continue to show great improvement. Special thanks to Louis & Gillian who looked after the girls in John’s absence.
U12 Girls: A busy week for our U12 Girls who played 2 county league games this week. First up last Monday evening (June 17th) was Castleisland where we emerged victorious on a scoreline of Austin Stacks 2-13 Castleisland 1-7 and then last Friday (June 23rd) we travelled to Listowel and ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of Listowel 0-04 Austin Stacks 1-15. With our final game V Rathmore to be played this Friday evening June 28th at 7pm in Connolly Park we have put a Div. 1 semi final spot into our own hands. A win against Rathmore will see us on equal points with goal difference then coming into play. So everything to play for next Friday night. Training as usual this Wednesday at 5pm.
U14 Girls: We played Glenflesk last Monday evening (June 24th) – at half time Glenflesk led by 2 points 3-3 to Stacks 2-4. What a heart stopping finish we had with the Stacks girls running out winners on a score line of Austin Stacks 6-6 Glenflesk 5-7 and in so doing booking themselves a Div. 1 Semi Final spot – Well done girls, Super stuff.
U16 Girls: Have a bye this week. Our next game in the Co. League is away to Killarney Spa on July 10th.
Senior Ladies: ‘Clash of the Black N’Ambers’ – The Junior ‘A’ Co. Championship draw has been made and will see us play Dr. Crokes at home on Sunday July 7th at 7.30pm with extra time if needed.
Munster Ladies Final: Well done to the Kerry Ladies on their fantastic win V Cork in Cahirciveen last Sunday (Kerry 3-10 Cork 3-8). Special mention to our own Laura Rogers on making the first 15. Kerry now progress to the Munster final on July 13th. As luck would have it Austin Stacks U12 girls entered a competition organised by the Kerry Ladies Co. Board and have won the privilege to compete at half time during that Munster final. So Laura, a hero to all our girls, will have plenty of ‘Rockie’ support on July 13th!!
