Mollie O’Carroll – pride of place this week goes to Kerry & Austin Stacks Football Star, Mollie O’Carroll, who was part of the Kerry team which captured the All Ireland U14 ‘A’ Final last Sunday, overcoming Mayo on a score line of Kerry 2-5 Mayo 1-6. Congrats also to our own Mick Hanafin who was part of the management team.
Girls Academy – Training again in Caherslee this Sunday at 11am for U6, U8 and U10 girls.
Summer Camp: Austin Stacks GAA Summer Camp for Boys & Girls takes place in Connolly Park from Aug 5 – 9th. Cost €40 per child, €60 per family.
U12 Girls: Co. League Semi Final: Ballymac 0-15 Austin Stacks 1-5. A disappointing end to a wonderful Co. League campaign for this very young team. Missing some key players this was a game in which the odds were firmly stacked against us. Is this the most improved Stacks team of the year? We certainly think so. Well done girls on a great league campaign. Training this Tuesday at 6pm in Connolly Park.
U13 ‘A’ Championship: Fossa 2-8 Austin Stacks 2-3. Played in Connolly Park last Friday evening, a very depleted but hardworking Stacks side put in a credible display against “the all conquering” Fossa team and certainly made the Killarney side work hard to earn their semi final spot
U13 Girls Blitz – Austin Stacks will play in the U13 Blitz this Saturday at John Mitchels Complex at 10.30 am. Training for this group at 5.30pm this Tuesday & at 5pm this Friday in Connolly Park.
U16 Girls Our Co. League back game V Kilcummin is still to be played. Players will be advised of training times by text.
Senior Ladies – Rathmore proved too hot to handle in the Junior ‘A’ Championship played in Connolly Park on Monday 14th July. Stacks, missing some pivotal players through injury tried hard but were well beaten on the night.
