Girls Academy: The girls were training at Connolly Park last Sunday. Drills, matches and fun were the order of the day. Training again at 11am this Sunday 25th. Venue will be confirmed by text. See you all there. The academy extends Birthday greetings to Lauren Barrett who will be 14 on Aug 25th.
U12 Girls: Training will continue on Wednesdays from 5 to 6pm for the next few weeks as we prepare for the Town League which will commence in September.
U15 Girls Championship: We played Corca Dhuibhne in Connolly park last Tuesday evening. Missing a few key players we were no match for the very talented team from the West. Final Score Austin Stacks 1-2 Corca Dhuibhne 4-12.
Senior Ladies: Mary Jo Curran Cup: We played our 2nd game in this competition at home to Inbhear Séine Gaels on Wednesday Aug 14th. Final Score: Austin Stacks 2-3 Inbhear Scéine Gaels 4-12. Our lack of fitness denying us any fighting chance in this game. Our next game sees us away to Spa, Killarney on August 21st (tbc).
Strictly Come Dancing 2013: The Festival Dome is the place to be this Saturday night. Please support this club fundraiser by purchasing a ticket – on sale at Garveys Super Valu, Barry’s Shop, Greyhound Bar, Stacks Club bar or from any committee member. Special thanks to Ladies Club Members – Clodagh, Chloe, Ciara and Lauren who participated in the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ entry in last Saturday night’s Rose of Tralee Festival Parade.
