Girls Academy: U6/8 girls trained in glorious sunshine in Caherslee last Sunday. See you all again this Sunday at 11am. Great to see new faces still arriving very week. A big Stacks welcome to you all.
U10 girls went to Abbeydorney for the North Kerry County Blitz. We fielded two teams of 11 players (4 games each),and both teams excelled in their games. The mentors John, Peter & Pat were thrilled with the effort put in by the girls, especially considering the heat on the day! They always had more when it was called for. With our Wednesday training focusing on fitness and the emphasis on match practice on Sundays, we are seeing huge improvement from these girls. Many thanks to Abbeydorney for an excellently run blitz. Many thanks to the parents for bringing the girls out and staying to support. A special mention to Pat Reidy who at short notice came out to look after one of the teams, only learning most of their names on the day!

Birthdays. The Academy wishes a happy birthday to Roisin Coffey who will be 11 on the 18th and to Bronagh Kelliher who will be 10 on the 22nd.
Summer Camps for ages 6-13: the Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp will be held in Connolly Park from June 30th to July 4th see www.kerrygaa.ie for details. Our Club Summer camp will run from Aug 5 -9. We strongly encourage your participation.
U12 Girls Co. League: Duagh 1-6 Austin Stacks 3-8. Played last Wednesday evening in Duagh; our girls recorded their 1st Co. League victory with a super win over Duagh. Well done girls! Team: Kirby Ann Ryan, Leah Long, Alex Mc Namara, Erica Jones, Chloe Fitzpatrick, Lara Flynn, Megan O’Brien, Grainne Carmody (0-06), Rachel O’Donnell, Brenda Devane, Roisin Coffey, Maria Lukco, Ciara Nix, Aisling O’Shea, Heather Mc Namara (3-2), Vivienne Dineen, Catherine Duggan, Eimear O’Sullivan, Karima Sultan, Yasmin Sultan and Sara Lucid. This Wednesday (June 18th) we play away to Finuge St. Senans – Full time ; Austin Stacks 7-8 Finuge/St. Senans 2-2.. Training in Connolly Park for U12 girls every Sunday at 11am and Tuesdays at 6pm.
U14 Girls – big congratulations to Austin Stacks Mollie O’Carroll who was part of the Kerry U14 girls team who won the All Ireland ‘A’ Semi Final V Cavan (Kerry 5-7 Cavan 4-3) last Saturday. Also congrats to their team manager our own Mick Hanafin.
U16 Girls are back in training for up-coming Co. League fixtures. Our next game is a home fixture V Legion. All players will be notified by text.
