Girls Academy: Training for U6/8/10 girls went ahead in Caherslee last Sunday
morning at 11am with great numbers attending.
U10 Girls: 18 girls travelled by bus, to the annual Passage West GAA Blitz last Saturday morning. We had 4 games against Nemo Rangers, Ballyphehane, Fermoy Cats and Killshannig. As this was a fun blitz no scores were being kept, so we are unable to say how much we won all 4 games by!!! The first game was the hardest against
Nemo but the girls soon warmed up and settled themselves into the game. The last game was interrupted by a heavy downfall of rain and the players left the pitch and sheltered in the dugout, after two or three minutes we were caught on the hop when the referee continued play and the whole of the Killshannig team ran onto the pitch and took the kickout, only for the “one” Stacks player on the pitch (Roisin Coffey) to get the ball from the kickout! As we have come to expect, every one of these girls was a credit to the club and their parents. A trip to Mc Donalds completed the day out which was enjoyed by one and all. We would like to thank Passage West GAA club for inviting us to the blitz. Also many thanks to Triona, Fiona and John who travelled on the bus and to Danny, Gillian and Peter who joined us in Cork and helped out on the day. U12 Girls: Next Training this Wednesday September 11th at 5pm as we prepare for upcoming Town League games.
U14 Girls: Our North Kerry League game V Ballyduff went ahead last night (Tues Sept 10th) in Ballyduff. Final score Austin Stacks 3-10 Ballyduff 2-2.
Stack the Racks: The Give and Buy fashion Event: Plans are afoot to hold this novel fundraising event in the next few weeks. We are asking everyone to check their wardrobes now for possible clothes, coats, evening wear, shoes, bags, scarves, jewellery – clean and in good condition (mens ladies & kids) – which could be donated for the event. So get collecting now!!
Kerry Ladies: Hard luck to the Kerry Ladies going down to Cork last Saturday in the AI Semi Final.
