Coaching Matters: Save the date Friday November 19th. As we near end-2021 the Club Coaching Committee, are organizing an event on Fri 19th Nov in our clubhouse. This is to show the club’s appreciation for all involved in teams (ladies and gents), and to present our approach to coaching following discussion and survey early this year. We plan to have guest speakers followed by a social night. After this we will invite applications for involvement in 2022 teams, and then forward recommendations to relevant Committees (Juvenile, Ladies, etc) for final approval, aiming that team managements be confirmed in Jan 2022. A workshop will then be held in Jan for all incoming team management to ensure we start off the year in a planned and supported way. Your input and engagement are vital, and we want to continue with an open two-way dialogue to move forward in collaboration as a united club. NOVEMBER MASS OF REMEMBRANCE: The deceased members & friends of Austin Stacks GAA & LGFA Clubs will be remembered in the 10am Mass at our Our Lady & St. Brendan’s Church, Tralee on Sunday next November 14th. All past & present members of the club – (Senior, Juvenile and Ladies club) & friends of the Rock are very welcome to attend. This Mass will also be broadcast live on Radio Kerry and live-streamed on www.stbrendansparishtralee.net
U14 Girls: We were defeated by Abbeydorney in the North Kerry League Div 1 Shield Final last Thursday night. This was the final game in a very long season for the team. Well done girls on a great year and special thanks to coaches Grainne O’Sullivan and Siobhan Cushen who looked after the team all year. Enjoy the Winter break ladies.
U16 Girls: We won the North Kerry Div 1 Shield Final by virtue of a comprehensive win over Abbeydorney last Monday night. Captains Niamh Collins & Dani O’Sullivan accepted the trophy on behalf of the team. Well done to this great group of girls & their mentors. Our season is now completed – enjoy the break everyone.
