U13 Girls: Well done to club players Ruth Dowling, Shauna Quigley, Mary Gibbons, Róisín Sheehy and Amelie O Sullivan who were part of the U-13 Tralee District team who played Castleisland District in Connolly Park last Sunday afternoon. Tralee lost by one point despite a gallant effort by all. Final score Tralee District 2-16 Castleisland District 5-8. Tralee will play Mid Kerry next weekend in the final round of the group games.
U15 Girls: Tralee District U15 girls defeated West Kerry last Saturday afternoon in Round 2 of the Co Championship FT Tralee 6-15 West Kerry 3-07. Austin Stacks Club players involved Eimear Dillane, Kara Kirby, Ellen Lucey, Penny Costello, Aine Gibbons & Aoibhinn Hennessey. Well done girls.
Congratulations: Our Club & Kerry Star Aoife Dillane was one of five recipients of Elite sports scholarships (recognition of outstanding sporting achievements) from Mary Immaculate College. Aoife is this year’s Gold Scholarship recipient, valued at €4,000.
Well done Evelyn: We are delighted & very proud of our very own Evelyn Ahern attending the National Youth Forum, in Croke Park last Saturday. Evelyn is one of approximately 300 delegates selected to represent young people between the ages of 12-21. The delegation represents all Gaelic games associations (GAA, LGFA and Camogie Associations) as well as all Gaelic games codes. No better woman! Well done Evelyn hope you enjoyed the experience.
