Girls Academy:
U8 and U10 girls were at Connolly Park Sunday morning for training. The U10s were out in great numbers and had several drills concentrating on exercise and mobility followed by a game. Next Saturday the U10’s are travelling to Passage West by coach for a blitz. Please be at Connolly Park 7.45am sharp. Bring a packed lunch, football gear, rain wear and water. Please bring €10 towards the cost of the coach and a stopover on the way back. Any questions ring John after 6pm on 086 8151966. The Acadamh wishes a happy birthday to Makayla Chester who is 14 on 3rd September,to Paula Holmes who is 8 on the 6th, to Katriona Horgan who is 15 on the 9th and to Amy Naughtan who is 10 on the 10th.
U12 Girls:
Training this Wednesday in Connolly Park at 5pm, as we prepare for Town League.
U14 Girls:
Round 1 of the North Kerry League V Castleisland Desmonds was played in Connolly Park last Friday evening. Nip and tuck throughout supporters were treated to a goal-fest, but it was the Rockies who pulled through on a final score of Austin Stacks 8-3 Castleisland Desmonds 7-4. Our next game in this competition sees us away to Ballyduff on a game provisionally fixed for this Sunday Sept 8th at 12 noon (tbc).
Stack the Racks:
The Give and Buy fashion Event: Plans are afoot to hold this novel fundraising event during September. We are asking everyone to check their wardrobes now for possible clothes, coats, evening wear, shoes, bags, scarves, jewellery – clean and in good condition (mens ladies & kids) – which could be donated for the event. So get collecting now!!
