Girls Academy: Our U6, U8 and U10 girls once again trained in big numbers last Sunday morning. This week the action returns to Caherslee at 11am. New players are always welcome just come along any Sunday morning. As Go Games will be starting shortly we ask that all parents ensure that their daughters are registered for the 2025 season as only registered players can participate in games.
U12 Girls: Well done to our U12 girls on another excellent hardworking team performance in Ballyseedy last Friday evening. Thanks to John Mitchels and referee Evelyn for a very enjoyable game. Training continues every Wednesday & Friday evening in Connolly Park at 6.15pm nightly.
U14 Girls: The U14 County League Division 1 continued last Sunday evening with the Stacks U14 Girls travelling to Listowel to take on Listowel Emmet’s. Our girls delivered a brilliant performance, edging out a thrilling one-point win. Every player contributed to the victory, with standout efforts right across the field — from Ariana in goals, through the backs and midfield, and up to the forwards. It was a true team effort and a win to remember. Congratulations to this great Rockie team who was captained tonight by Shauna Quigley (0-1), Ariana Sucaci, Eimear Kenny, Roisin Sheehy, Ciara Cronin, Eve Mc Evoy, Sophie Ferriter, Kate O Shea, Mary Gibbons, Sophie Pigott (0-1), Amelie O Sullivan (1-2), Ruth Dowling (1-1), Clodagh Kennedy(1-0), Mya Dennehy(1-3), Annabel Slattery, Emma Hobbert, Ellie Gorman. Coaches are extremely proud of every player and thanks to parents for their continued support. Thanks also to the Referee and to Listowel Emmets for a very sporting game (report by Martina Dowling). In Rd. 3 we will have a home game V Laune Rangers on May 18th. Our U14B team was due to kick off their Co. League action with a home game V Annascaul/Castlegregory at 7pm on Monday April 28th (result too late for inclusion in these notes please check club socials for update).
