1977 Reunion: Austin Stacks Ladies will celebrate the 40th anniversary of our 1st Senior Co. Championship win at the Clubrooms on Saturday Sept 30th. The 1977 team will be honoured on the night. Girls Academy: Great fun last Sunday morning as we welcomed Na Gaeil to Caherslee for some challenge games in U8s & U10s. Thanks to Una Moynihan who stepped in to help with our U6s. Well done to both teams on a great mornings football. Dates for your diary Saturday Oct 14th we will welcome Old Mill, Newcastlewest to Connolly Park for some challenge games. Sunday October 15th will see the conclusion of our 2017 season – and to mark the day we will welcome the boys & girls of Killarney Legion to Connolly Park and also host our annual Ladies Club Cake Sale on that morning.

U12 Girls: Following a comprehensive win over Na Gaeil last Tuesday evening we qualified for the U12 Town League Div 1 Cup final V Ballymac last Friday evening. Alas it was not to be and we went down to the very good Ballymac side on the night. Well done to all our players who gave it their all and can be very pleased with their performances in reaching the Cup final. We will participate in the U11 Carmel O Connor memorial Garda Blitz taking place from 11am this Saturday at na Gaeil. Players will be contacted by text with details. We say congratulations to 4 of our players – Mary Moore, Shannon Oba, Doireann Moore & Grace Reidy who have been selected to play in the U11 Kerry team participating in the Development Blitz in Kilrush this Saturday. U14 Girls: North Kerry League Div 1 FT Austin Stacks 2-8 Ballymac 2-7. In a pulsating game from start to finish Stacks held on to record a well deserved win over a very good Ballymac side in Connolly Park last Tuesday evening (Sept 19th). That completes our North Kerry League fixtures . Following Ballmac’s win over Abbeydorney last night (Mon 25th Sept) the NK league is deadlocked with all 3 teams on equal points . Our Town League Div 1 games still to be played V Ballymac & John Mitchels – no fixtures at time of writting. Our U14B team kicked off their Town league campaign with a winning start last Wednesday (Sept 20th) when they easily overcame Ballymac B team, we are pleased to confirm our 2 remaining fixtures as follows – this Thurs (Sept 28th) away to Churchill at 6.15pm and next Wed (Oct 4th) at home to KOR at 6.15pm also.
U16 Girls: We completed our North Kerry Div 1 League with a great win over Na Gaeil last Wednesday evening in Connolly Park. This game doubled up as a Town League fixture also. Great credit to both teams on a very competitive and sporting game. FT Austin Stacks 3-7 Na Gaeil 1-7. Team: Chloe Fitzpatrick, Chloe Dillion, Lara Flynn, Leah Long, Dakotah Carter O’Flynn, Niamh Ryan, Maebh Mc Elligott, Ciara Nix, Aoife Dillane (1-4), Roisin Coffey (0-1) , Jasmine Ryle, Rachel Ryan (1-0), Clodagh Begley (1-2), Clara Moran, Catherine Duggan, Ciara Ryan, Nicole O Mahony, Clodagh Murray, Janna Litchfield. We have now completed our 3 rounds of the NK League and are on 4 points with wins over Na Gaeil & Castleisland and 1 defeat to Corcha Duibhne. With Corcha Dhuibhne defeating Castleisland last weekend to claim the NK Div 1 title – Stacks have now booked their place in the NK Div 1 Shield Final – our opponents will be the winners between Na Gaeil & Castleisland. We now turn our attention back to Town League with 2 rounds V John Mitchels & Ballymac still to be played. Our game V Ballymac due to take place this Sunday is now postponed due to clashing with the Senior ladies munster QF.
