Ladies Club Notes 25th March, 2025.

2025 Membership: March 31st deadline is fast approaching. All players and coaches must register with the LGFA. Austin Stacks LGFA club membership can be purchased via www.foireann.ie or via Clubforce https://austinstackslgfa.clubforce.com/products/membership. All players must be registered to participate in matches and training so please give this matter your full attention please.

Girls Academy: We go again this Sunday: U6s in Balloonagh NS Hall at 10am, U8s in Balloonagh NS Hall at 11am and U10s at CBS, Clounalour, Tralee Astro pitch at 10am. New Players are very welcome to join the Academy: Just pop down any Sunday all that is required is to wear runners and a tracksuit and bring a bottle of water and €2 to cover the cost of hall/pitch hire.

U12 Girls: Training for our U12 girls has now re-commenced from 5-6pm every Friday evening at the MTU Astro. New players welcome just pop along any Friday evening. Thanks to our U12 club coaches who treated the girls to a trip to see Kerry V Meath last Saturday afternoon. An exciting game which resulted in a vital win for Kerry.

U14 Girls: We train at the CBS the Green Astro pitch every Sunday afternoon from 12 to 1.15pm. Reminder, that club membership is now due. Our first Co. League Div 1 game is at home to ISG on April 13th. Thanks to our U14 coaches who arranged a team day out to Austin Stack Park to see Kerry defeat Meath & book their place in this year’s Lidl Div 1 Final.

U16 Girls: Training continues on Monday and Thursday evenings this week. The opening round of the North Kerry League Div 2 see us away V Annascaul/Castlegregory in Annascaul on Monday March 31st at 7pm.

U18 Girls: Minor Co League Rd2 FT Austin Stacks 6-7 (25) Churchill 2-12 (18). Played last Thursday evening in chilly Connolly Park our very young team dusted off the winter cobwebs in their first game of the season (Rd 1 game V Beaufort now rescheduled) to produce a gutsy performance against a very determined Churchill. Well done team & coaches! Senior Ladies: Credit Union Donal Curtin Rd 1 we suffered a defeat to Laune Rangers in the opening round of this year’s competition played in Connolly Park last Sunday morning. This Sunday March 30th in Rd 2 we are away to Firies. Congratulations to Aoife Dillane on being named on the 2025 AIG Ladies HEC All-Star team.

Kerry News: Kerry U16s including club players Eimear Dillane and Kara Kirby are once again in Munster Championship action this Sunday in Rd 4 Kerry be at home to Limerick. * Club player Lucy O Connor struck for the first of Kerry’s second half goals in the team’s win over Waterford in Rd 2 of the Munster Minor Championship played in Cordal last Saturday afternoon. In Rd 3 Kerry will be away to Clare this Saturday * Our own Aoife Dillane and the Kerry Senior Ladies booked their place in this year’s Lidl National League final following their win over Meath last Saturday afternoon. The final round of the league Rd7 V Dublin goes ahead this Saturday on March 29th at 2:30pm in Austin Stack Park.
