Austin Stacks Girls Academy trained in the Green School Gym last Sunday morning. Again mentors are reporting high attendance and both sessions were enjoyed by everyone. With the improving weather we hope to go outdoors for all ages U6, U8 & U10s this Sunday morning at 11am at Caherslee GAA Grounds. A confirmation text will be sent out later in the week.
St. Patricks Day Parade – we are encouraging all our boys & girls to wear their club colours and march with the Rockies this St Patricks Day. The Tralee Parade will assemble from 11am on John Joe Sheehy Road and commence at 12pm sharp.
U12 Girls travelled to Duagh last Sunday afternoon to play Listowel in the North Kerry league Div 1. Playing with only 6 (12 year olds) our very young team made up of mostly of 11 and 10 year olds did brilliantly in what was the first competitive game for most. Final Score Listowel 4-4 Austin Stacks 3-6. We are hoping our U12 B team will play at home to Dingle this Saturday afternoon. All players will be contacted by text to confirm if game is going ahead.
U14 Girls: We trained in the Bishops field last Sunday morning. Our Féile Fundraising Bag pack will be held this Friday 6-9pm & Saturday 9-6pm at Dunnes Stores NCR – thanks to everyone who has signed up to help. Some slots on Saturday afternoon still to be filled so please contact Pat on 086 3881403. We send our congratulations to club player Aoife Dillane who has been selected to play on the Kerry U14 team which will play Cork in the Munster Championship this Saturday. Well done to Aoife who not alone is a great footballer but also volunteers her time every Sunday morning to help coaching our U6 girls. Best wishes Aoife from everyone in Austin Stacks.
U16 Girls: Commenced training last Friday evening with new coaches Frank & Bernard. We train again this Wednesday evening from 6 to 7pm at Tralee Sports Complex.
Senior Ladies: Will kick off their North Kerry League campaign V Clounmacon/Moyvane in a game fixed for Connolly Park this Sunday at 12 noon. We await a pitch inspection of Connolly Park so match venue TBC later in the week and information will be updated on club website.
Congratulations to Laura Rogers who was player of the match in the Lynch Cup Final when her team UL defeated DIT on a score line of 3-10 to 1-7. Laura scoring 1-5 on the day. A fantastic display by a super player.
