Ladies Club Notes 13th July, 2026.

U16 Girls:  We will resume training week commencing Monday 13th July.  Details will be confirmed closer to the time. The county league begins on July 22nd.  This year we will play in Div 3 along with Killarney Legion, Listowel Emmets, Castleisland Desmonds and Dr. Crokes.

Minor Ladies:   We will train with the senior ladies throughout the summer. We have entered the U23 competition, our team will be made up of our minor girls and some of the younger senior ladies. This is an 11 a side competition – fixture dates as follows:  Friday the 17^th of July, Friday the 24^th of July And Friday the 7^th of Aug.

Senior Ladies:  Credit Union Co. League Div 3 Final (Mon July 6th, 2026).

FT Austin Stacks 3-15 KOR 0-09 

Both Austin Stacks and Kerins O’Rahillys Senior Ladies took to the pitch in Caherslee last Monday evening (July 6th) having already gained promotion up to Div 2.  This meeting however was a top of the table clash to decide which team would go up as League Champions.  Rahilly’s had previously defeated Stacks in the opening round by 3 points.  A result, as Stacks winning Captain Mary Moore confessed, which had festered and motivated the squad since.  Stacks Seniors went undefeated in the remaining 8 rounds of the league (wins V Listowel, ISG, Churchill, Beale, Kilcummin, Firies, MKL (B) and Brosna/Knocknagoshel) and were grateful of this opportunity to play the Strand Road girls again.

In front of a sizable crowd the Stacks girls took this game by the scruff of the neck from the start and never looked back.  Stacks led at HT 1-5 to 0-6, but it was in the second half that they completely took over, out-scoring the opposition 2-10 to 0-3.  All of our starting 15 played superbly on the night, but no team wins a Co. League without a strong panel and that fact is particularly true of this league campaign where no less than 35 girls have played their part.   Sincere thanks to our winning management team of Paddy Barry, Aoife Newell and Jemma O’Connell – for all their hard work and dedication to the team. Following the game, hat-trick hero Mollie O’Carroll was awarded the Player of the Match Award.  Commiserations to KOR, a young side who are improving all the time.   We send our get well wishes to Grace Lucid who suffered a shoulder injury during the game.

G4MNO: Training in Connolly Park every Monday & now Wednesday night from 7pm to 8pm. Everyone is welcome, especially new members. Urging Ladies age 25 + to come along & try it out, no experience or fitness ability needed.  We welcomed the Churchill G4MNO team for a very enjoyable challenge game last Monday evening (July 6th) in Connolly Park.

Kerry:  Good luck to the Kerry Senior Ladies including our own Aoife Dillane in the TG4 Senior Championship SF V Dublin this Saturday July 18th at 5.15pm in Semple Stadium Thurles.  Congratulations to Stacks Eimear Dillane and her Kerry U18 team mates who defeated Laois in the All Ireland B Championship Semi Final last Thursday July 9th.  Kerry U18s now play Tyrone in the Final on Saturday July 25th at 2pm in Tullamore.

Open 2026 Fundraiser:  Closing date for our British Open Golf Fundraiser is this Wednesday July 15th.  Please drop all completed cards to the Club Bar Mon, Tues, Wed after 7pm.   Thank you for your support.

Stacks LGFA Autumn 2026 Fundraising Clothing Collection – Start ‘gathering’ we will hold a clothing collection on Saturday October 10th in the club rooms Connolly Park from 11am to 1pm.
