Girls Academy: Training returned to Caherslee last Sunday morning and once again we had a fantastic turnout. Upcoming events to look forward to include U8 & U10 Lee Strand Go Games V Castleisland this Sunday June 15th. We have entered a team in the upcoming North Kerry U10 blitz on the 28th June in John Mitchells.
U12: We hosted Cromane last Wednesday night as part of the Lee Strand Summer Go Games series. It was another great team performance led by Captain Tara. It was great to see the girls showing such high skill levels matched by their hard work. Training continues this Wednesday & Friday night.
U14: Co League Div 1 Rd 5 we will play at home to MKL Gaels this Tuesday June 10th
at 7pm. Our U14B team were home to Finuge/St Senans in the final round of Co League Division 8. Well done to our captains Annabelle, Sophie and all the girls on another performance of 100% effort and first class attitude. Congratulations and thanks to Finuge / St Senans and referee George for this evening’s match. Coaches are very proud and happy with the girls development over the u14 Div 8 County League campaign, they have improved in every match, which will stand to them in the upcoming U13 North Kerry and County Leagues.
U16/18: Training continues for our U16 & minor girls every Monday and Thursday from 6 to 7pm. U16 Co. League will commence after the Junior Cert exams. U18 North Kerry League will commence on July 17th. We have been placed in Div 2 along with Movyane, Duagh/Knocknagoshel and Na Gaeil.
Senior Ladies: The Corrib Oil Senior Co. League is due to commence on July 7th with a home game V Spa Killarney at 7.30pm, Rd 2 away V Abbeydorney July 14th, Rd 3 is home to Clounmacon/Moyvane on July 21st. Intermediate Championship details have come to hand. There will be 7 teams this year and again there will be no team relegated. The teams are as follows: Abbeydorney, Austin Stacks, Beaufort, Clounmaccon/
G4MNO: Our Weekly training continues every Monday evening from 7-8pm. New players are very welcome just come along any evening.
Kerry: The Lee Strand Kerry LGFA U17 PDP continues every Saturday from 9:30-11am for girls born in 2008 & 2009. New players are always welcome. *Kerry Senior Ladies including to our own Aoife Dillane who was introduced as a sub in the 2nd half finished strongly to overcome Mayo in Rd1 of their Group 2 Championship game last Saturday. This Saturday it’s Kerry V Cork in AI Senior Championship Round 2 Group 2. Throw in is at 2.30pm in Pairc Ui Choimh. *U14 AI ‘Gold’ Final Kerry V Dublin FT Kerry: 1-12(15) Dublin : 4-6(18).
