Ladies Club News 8th July, 2026.

Girls Academy:  Our U6, 8s and 10’s all trained last Sunday morning in Connolly Park.  Next training for 8s and 10s is this Wednesday evening.

Summer Camp: Austin Stacks Club Summer Camp Monday July 20th to Friday July 24th – register on the 1st day at 9am in Connolly Park..Times 9.30 to 12.30pm.  Cost €50 per player or €80 per family.

U12 Girls:  The Lee Strand Summer Go Games series continues.  This week we are scheduled  to play at home V Killarney Legion this Wednesday (July 8th) at 6pm.

U14 Girls:  The U14 Super Touch competition kicked off last Thursday evening in Castlegregory.  We played 2 games V Corcha Dhuibhne and Annascaul/Castlegregory.  This Tuesday evening we host the competition in Connolly Park  at 6.15pm.  (11 a side – 2 games X 30 mins per game).

U16 Girls:  We will resume training week commencing Monday 13th July. Details will be confirmed closer to the time. The county league begins on July 22nd.

Minor Ladies:   We will train with the senior ladies throughout the summer. We have entered the U23 competition, our team will be made up of our minor girls and some of the younger senior ladies. This is an 11 a side competition – fixture dates as follows:  Friday the 17^th of July, Friday the 24^th of July And Friday the 7^th of Aug.

Senior Ladies:  Big Congratulations to our Senior Ladies who have been promoted to Division 2 following their comprehensive win over a gallant Listowel Emmets side in Connolly Park last Monday June 29th). FT Austin Stacks 3-11 Listowel 0-7. The Div 3 League table after 9 games sees us finish 2nd to KOR (KOR ahead on scoring difference). While both sides will gain promotion to Division 2, a once off home town showdown will determine who will go up as League champions.  The final takes place this Monday July 6th at 7.30pm at Caherslee GAA Grounds.

Credit Union Co. League Div 3 Final (Mon July 6th, 2026).

FT Austin Stacks 3-15 KOR 0-09 

Both Austin Stacks and Kerins O’Rahillys Senior Ladies took to the pitch in Caherslee last Monday evening (July 6th) having already gained promotion up to Div 2.  This meeting however was a top of the table clash to decide which team would go up as League Champions.  Rahilly’s had previously defeated Stacks in the opening round by 3 points.  A result, as Stacks winning Captain Mary Moore confessed, which had festered and motivated the squad since.  Stacks Seniors went undefeated in the remaining 8 rounds of the league (wins V Listowel, ISG, Churchill, Beale, Kilcummin, Firies, MKL (B) and Brosna/Knocknagoshel) and were grateful of this opportunity to play the Strand Road girls again.

In front of a sizeable crowd the Stacks girls took this game by the scruff of the neck from the start and never looked back.  Stacks led at HT 1-5 to 0-6, but it was in the second half that they completely took over, out-scoring the opposition 2-10 to 0-3.  All of our starting 15 played superbly on the night, but no team wins a Co. League without a strong panel and that fact is particularly true of this league campaign where no less than 35 girls have played their part.   Sincere thanks to our winning management team of Paddy Barry, Aoife Newell and Jemma O’Connell – for all their hard work and dedication to the team. Following the game, hat-trick hero Mollie O’Carroll was awarded the Player of the Match Award.  Commiserations to KOR, a young side who are improving all the time.   We send our get well wishes to Grace Lucid who suffered a shoulder injury during the game.

G4MNO: Training in Connolly Park every Monday & now Wednesday night from 7pm to 8pm. Everyone is welcome, especially new members. Urging Ladies age 25 + to come along & try it out, no experience or fitness ability needed.  We welcomed the KOR G4MNO team for a very enjoyable challenge game last Monday evening (June 29th) in Connolly Park.

Kerry:  Well done to Senior Kerry Ladies including our own Aoife Dillane who booked their place in the TG4 Senior Championship SF following their win over Meath last Saturday evening.  Kerry will now face Champions Dublin on July 18th.  Best wishes to our own Eimear Dillane who will be part of the Kerry U18 team who will contest the All Ireland B Championship Semi Final V Laois this Thursday July 9th at 7.30pm in Mallow.  In the other Semi Final Down V Roscommon.

Open 2026 Fundraiser:  Start getting your picks ready, there is huge work going on behind the scenes for the 2026 Open Championship Fundraiser! There is a €2,000 prize pot and all money raised will be going into the maintenance of our pitch. Cards will be distributed in the coming days and all details can be found on our social pages.

Stacks LGFA Autumn 2026 Fundraising Clothing Collection – Start ‘gathering’ we will hold a clothing collection on Saturday October 10th in the club rooms Connolly Park from 11am to 1pm.

Jigsaw delivers mental health promotion sessions in partnership with community organizations.

Parents are invited to take part in a “One Good Adult” mental health promotion session delivered by Jigsaw in partnership with Austin Stacks GAA & LGFA Clubs. This session will touch on issues facing young people and what we can do to support them, highlighting various support services for young people.

It will take place in the Community Room, Austin Stacks Club, Connolly Park on Wednesday 15th July at 7pm.
