Girls Academy: Stacks U6/8/10 Girls (fingers crossed and very much weather dependent) will commence our outdoor season in Connolly Park at 11am this Sunday. Please note due to the record breaking high numbers of young girls playing with Austin Stacks this year we have taken the decision to split the academy- girls will be based in Connolly Park every Sunday at 11am with the boys in Caherslee. Both groups will be in Connolly Park on the last Sunday of every month. The top gate at Highfield Grove will be open to facilitate parents dropping & collecting between both locations. It’s a handy 5 minute walk between the 2 locations via Ard Carraig.
U12 Girls: Training is moving to Connolly Park on Wednesday evenings 6pm to 7pm. This will also be the time for our home games going forward.
U13 Girls: We played great football back in Gallerus V Coca Dhuibhne last Tuesday night and Earned another brace of points in the NK League Div1 match. Next up was a short trip on Tuesday evening (April 7th) for our Rd3 match with Na Gaeil -Ft Na Gaeil 2-7 Austin Stacks 3-4; A performance full of character, effort and no little skill, secured a share of the points in Kileen this evening. Thanks to Na Gaeil and referee Sharon. Well done to all the girls and thanks to our younger u12s, who stepped up to the plate. We host Finuge/ St Senans next Tuesday in Connolly Park.
U14 Girls: Training Mondays 6.30pm to 7.30pm and Thursday 5.30pm to 6.45pm. County Premier Phase 1 this Sunday April 12th at 6pm vs Dr Crokes in Connolly Park. County Development League vs Beaufort in Connolly Park (TBC).
U16 Girls: North Kerry League Div 2: Austin Stacks v Kerins O Rahillys in Ballyrickard at 6pm, Thursday 2nd April 2026. A very strong team performance from the Austin Stacks U16 girls against Kerins O’Rahillys last evening. Great teamwork, work rate and defending across both halves saw Stacks limit the opposition to just two points. From the throw-in, the girls set the tempo with great passing and some very well taken scores showing great organisation and determination right to the final whistle. Thanks to Kerins O Rahillys for a sporting game and to Mike Hennessy for officiating. FT Score Stacks 4-10, KOR 0-2. Minor Girls: Minor Co League Rd 1 (back game): Austin Stacks 7-11, Rathmore 1-03. Well done to our minor girls on another superb performance. Some lovely football was played in Connolly Park by the team last Tuesday night (April 7th), combined with an immense work rate and some clinical finishing. That makes it two wins from two in our campaign so far. Senior Ladies: Donal Curtin Co League Div 3 (Rd2) FT Austin Stacks 5-11 (26) Firies 2-10 (16). Played in ideal conditions in Connolly Park last Sunday afternoon our Senior Ladies recorded a fine win over Firies to claim their first Co League points of 2026. Mollie O Carroll hit the net for Stacks in the 25th minute to give the home side a lead of 1-5 to 1-2 at HT. Stacks turned on the style in the second half and 2 early goals from Megan O Brien and Lucy O Donnell set the Rock up for a commanding lead which they never relinquished. Kara Kirby and Megan chipped in with points to keep the scoreboard ticking over before the ever threatening Mollie O Carroll with 2 goals in quick succession completed her hat-trick. Well done to the girls on an excellent team display against a very good Firies side. Special mention to Stacks goalkeeper Chloe Fitzpatrick who had an excellent game between the posts, bringing off at least 2 point blank saves, one down low to her right which was particularly impressive. Only one disappointing note was a knee injury to our young defender Ciara Laide which resulted in her having to leave the pitch in the first half. We are all sending you our best Ciara & wish you a speedy recovery. Thanks to referee George O Donnell. Kerry LGFA News: Kerry Minors are away to Clare in Rd 4 of the Munster Championship on April 18th at 2pm . Kerry U16A & B teams both enjoyed wins V Waterford in the Munster Championship last Saturday. U16A team have now qualified for this years Munster Final V Cork. Good luck in upcoming fixtures to our Kerry players Aoife, Eimear and Amelie.
