Girls Academy is Back: The Austin Stacks Girls ‘Magic’ Football Academy has returned for the 2025 Season in great numbers. At our ‘All Girls’ Juvenile Academy we aim for the following:
M: Motivational – We Encourage Fun Participation.
A: Age Appropriate Activities and Games
G: Growth; activities pitched according to agility
I: Individualised Activities to suit all Abilities.
C: Child Centered with the emphasis on Fun while learning skills.

U6s in Balloonagh NS Hall at 10am,
U8s in Balloonagh NS Hall at 11am and
U10s at CBS, Clounalour, Tralee Astro pitch at 10am.
New Players are very welcome to join the Academy: Just pop down any Sunday all that is required is to wear runners and a tracksuit and bring a bottle of water and €2 to cover the cost of hall/pitch hire.
U12 Girls: Training for our U12 girls has now re-commenced at the MTU Astro every Friday evening from 5pm to 6pm. New players welcome.
U14 Girls: We will play in Div 1 of the Co. League this year along with ISG, Listowel, Abbeydorney, Laune Rangers and MKL. Fixtures as follows: Rd 1 April 13th away V ISG, Rd 2 April 27th away V Listowel, Rd 3 May 18th home V Abbeydorney, Rd 4 May 27th home V Laune Rangers, Rd. 5 June 10th away V MK. We continue with our training every Sunday at CBS Astro, The Green from 12-1pm.
U16/U18 Girls: Our S&C sessions at the newly refurbished Club gym are up and running – Week 4 takes place from 6-7pm this Thursday. Everyone is welcome, especially returning players who may have been out of football for a while. Our first outdoor session is planned for Monday March 10th from 5-6pm in the CBS NS Astro, Clounalour.
Senior Ladies: The Credit Union Donal Curtin Cup fixtures have come to hand. We will play in Group 3 along with Fossa, Firies, Finuge St Senans, Laune Rangers. Spa, Abbeydorney & Annascaul/Castlegregory. Our opening game is home to Laune Rangers on March 23rd.
Kerry:
Kerry U16s including our own Eimear Dillane and Kara Kirby suffered a defeat to Cork in Rd 2 of the Munster Championship FT Cork 4-7 Kerry 0-7. In Rd. 3 Kerry U16s will be away to Clare on March 16th.
Kerry Minors – Kerry Minors including our own Lucy O’Connor lost out to Tipperary 3-6 to 1.10 last Saturday in Rd 1 of the Munster Championship in Rd 2 the team will be away to Clare on March 29th.
Kerry Senior Ladies: Well done to the Kerry ladies including our own Aoife Dillane who enjoyed a comfortable win over Mayo last Sunday in the Lidl Ladies National League Div 1 Rd 5 FT Kerry 2-8 Mayo 0-4. In Rd 6 Kerry are at home to Meath on March 22nd.
