Ladies Table Quiz: What a night. Thank you to everyone who supported the Austin Stacks LGFA Table Quiz night in the clubhouse last night (November 29th), we had a fantastic night with over 25 tables sold and brilliant support for our raffle. Thank you to John Fitzgerald Watchmakers and Jewellers who sponsored the night and to all our spot prizes sponsors for their incredible support: Kirby’s Brogue Inn, Garvey’s SuperValu Tralee, Celsius Menswear, O’Connell’s Pharmacy (First Aid Kit Sponsors), Aidan O’Conner The Greyhound Bar, Terrys Butchers (Main Club Sponsor), O’Flynn Interiors, Aherns Pharmacy Farranfore, Cara Credit Union, Kerry School of Music, Office & Ink, Dermot Moore and Hennessy’s Bar. The atmosphere was electric, the laughter was flowing, and the competition was fierce — all thanks to the incredible turnout and with raffle tickets flying out there were plenty of lucky winners heading home with brilliant prizes. A very special thank you to Elaine Kinsella of Radio Kerry, who MC’d the night and brought such energy, fun, and professionalism to the event. Elaine truly made the evening memorable for everyone in attendance. Congratulations to our winning team — Mike Dennehy, Dan Ahern, Niall Lucey, and Keith Costello, all coaches of our underage teams who were enjoying their coaches’ night out. In an incredible show of generosity, the lads kindly donated their €100 prize money back to the Ladies Club, a gesture that perfectly reflects the spirit of Austin Stacks LGFA. Your support ensures that our club can continue to cover vital costs for the 2026 season, helping us build a strong future for ladies’ football in Austin Stacks.

Condolences: All at Austin Stacks Ladies Club were saddened to learn of the passing of former 3 time Senior Co. Championship winner, Senior All Ireland Winner & All Star Eileen Mangan nee O Connor. Eileen was a trailblazer for ladies football in Austin Stacks, lining out in our very first LGFA club team in 1975. She was a member of our first ever Senior Co Championship winning team of 1977, also winning Senior Co Championship medals in 1979 and 1982. Eileen had the honour of becoming Kerry’s very first All Star when she was named at full back on the 1980 selection where she was also joined by centre half forward Eileen Lawlor and Mary Jo Curran. She is remembered by her teammates for her athleticism, loyalty, humour and fearlessness on the field, off the pitch she maintained great & lasting friendships with many of her teammates from those early club days.
To her husband Aidan (former club player) and her children Ruairi, Cathal & Orlaith, her extended family including her brother in law, Austin Stacks GAA Club Officer Colm Mangan we extend our sincere sympathy. May Eileen RIP.

Condolences: Everyone in Austin Stacks Ladies also sends their condolences to the family of the late Caroline Kennedy, sister of Mags & Tommy (Kerins O Raillys), aunt of Austin Stacks club players Ciaran, Jemma & Ellen O Connell & sister in law of Noel O Connell (Field Committee). May Caroline RIP.
