Ladies Club News 26th May, 2025.

Girls Academy: This Sunday June 1st our U8s will kick off their Summer Go Games series with an away trip to Churchill. The U10 Lee Strand Go Games Series continues this Wednesday evening and will be hosted by KOR on this occasion. Training for our U6s and U10s will go ahead at 11am this Sunday in Caherslee.

Austin Stacks Summer Camp: Dates for your diary – our annual club summer camp takes place from July 28th to Friday Aug 1st.

U12 Girls: Our U12 girls were exceptional last Thursday night against Abbeydorney. Their excellent skill levels matched with their extremely hard work was very pleasing to see. They never dropped their high levels throughout the game. Upcoming fixture: June 4th we are set to host Cromane as part of the Summer Go Games Series.

U14 Girls: Upcoming Fixtures: U14 Co. League Div 1 Rd 4 home V Laune Rangers at 6pm this Wednesday May 28th at 6pm. U14B Co. League Div 8 away V Listowel this Thursday May 29th at 6.45pm. Note the U13 North Kerry League will commence on July 6th. Stacks will play in Div 2 alongside Listowel, Na Gaeil, KOR and Annascaul/Castlegregory.

U16/18 Girls: Training continues on Monday & Thursday evenings. U16 Co. League will commence after the Junior Cert exams. U18 North Kerry League will commence on July 17th. We have been placed in Div 2 along with Movyane, Duagh/Knocknagoshel and Na Gaeil.

Senior Ladies: We are delighted to introduce Aoife Newell, the newly appointed Austin Stacks LGFA Senior Ladies coach. She is originally from Galway and has always had a keen interest in sport and physical activity. Aoife has represented Galway at underage and senior level. She graduated from IT Tralee with a BSc Honours Degree in Health and Leisure with Fitness Professional and has continued her education through various CPD courses. She is qualified in a number of fields including Strength & Conditioning, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, N1 certified. Having worked in the fitness industry for the past 9 years she has gained a wealth of knowledge and vital experience coaching youth athletes, senior athletes and general population clients. Aoife has previously worked as the S&C coach for the Kerry Senior Ladies football team and has been providing a personal training service for a number of years in Kerry. She specialises in Youth Athlete Development, Sports Performance, Rehabilitation & Personal Training. We are delighted to welcome Aoife to the club and wish her and our Senior Ladies team the very best for the rest of the season.

There is a break in competition now for the exams. The Corrib Oil Senior Co. League is due to commence on July 7th. Intermediate Championship details have come to hand. There will be 7 teams this year and again there will be no team relegated. The teams are as follows: Abbeydorney, Austin Stacks, Beaufort, Clounmaccon/Moyvane, Corca Dhuibhne, Firies and MKL Gaels. The championship will consist of 1 group of 3 and 1 group of 4. With both group winners advancing straight to semi-finals the second and third placed teams playing Quarter Finals, the bottom team in the group of 4 will exit the championship after the group stages.

G4MNO: We will host Cordal on Monday May 26th. Our Weekly training continues every Monday evening from 7-8pm. New players are very welcome just come along any evening.

Kerry * The All Ireland U14 ‘GOLD’ Championship SF took place last weekend and saw Kerry including our club players Amelie O’Sullivan and Ruth Dowling defeat Monaghan to book their place in this year’s final V Dublin on Sunday June 8th at 1:30pm in Nenagh * Congratulations to Stacks Aoife Dillane and her Kerry teammates who won the Munster Senior final V Waterford last Sunday.
