Ladies Club News 20th April, 2026.

Girls Academy: The Kerry U10 Co Blitz has been postponed as Kerry Senior Ladies are in action in ASP this Sunday. Great to get back outdoors last Sunday, our U6, U8 and U10 girls are back in Connolly Park this Sunday morning at 10am. Our U10 Girls have now commenced their Mid Week Summer Sessions, training goes ahead at 6pm every Wednesday evening. Also note our Summer U8 and U10 Go Games Series will kick off on Sunday May 3rd when we travel out to play Churchill.

U12 Girls: Training in Connolly Park on Wednesday evenings 6pm to 7pm. This will also be the time for our home games going forward. Our Go Games series kicks off with an away game V Listowel on Wednesday May 6th.

U13 Girls:

North Kerry League; The girls saved the best till last, with a scintillating performance that lit up Connolly Park last Tuesday evening. This concludes our four NK Div 1 group games, with the girls unbeaten earning seven out of a possible eight points. We await the results of the remaining Div1 matches for final positions.The whole coaching team are very proud of the effort of every player over the last few weeks.

U14 Girls: Training Mondays 6.30pm to 7.30pm and Thursday 5.30pm to 6.45pm. Our U14 girls competed to the final whistle against very strong and skillful opponents last Sunday evening in Castlegregory. Many Thanks to Annascaul/ Castlegregory and referee Billy. Tests like this, will stand to the girls.The work rate and camaraderie exhibited were very encouraging. Well done again to all. Upcoming Fixtures: home V Dr. Crokes on Monday April 27th at 7pm and home V Rathmore on Monday May 4th at 2pm. Our U14B team will be home to Beaufort at 5pm this Sunday April 26th in the Development League.

Feile will take place next Wednesday Evening the 29^th of April with the semi-finals and finals taking place on Friday evening the first of May

U16 Girls:

U16 North Kerry League Div 2: FT

Austin Stacks 2-4 v Listowel 5-8. A solid team performance from the Austin Stacks U16 girls against a very strong Listowel team in Connolly Park last Thursday evening, in very tough conditions. We started well and led early on but a physically stronger Listowel team took control towards the end of the first half. We trailed at half time by two points. 2-2 to 2-4. Listowel continued their dominance in the 2nd half but our girls never gave up and gave it their all right up to the end. Thanks to Listowel for a sporting game and to Mike Hennessy for officiating. FT Score Stacks 2-4 Listowel 5-8. The team and scorers, Sophie Ferriter, Ella O Sullivan, Eabha Mai Horgan, Eimear Kenny, Chelsea Moriarty, Eve McEvoy, Lucy Carey, Sofia Rybanska (0-1) Mary Gibbons, Eve O’Regan, Ruth Dowling, Sophie Quillinan, Debora Foley, Roisin Sheehy (1-1) Moya Dennehy (1-2), Emma Hobbert, Aine O’Shea, Kiera Boyle Griffin. In Rd 3 (final round) we are away to Churchill at 7pm this Thursday April 23rd.

Minor Girls:

Minor Co League: FT

Austin Stacks 6-13, Beale 2-10. Another superb win for our minor ladies last Tuesday evening, making it three wins from three. An excellent all-round performance from the girls. Team: Amber Ryan, Jess Leen, Emily Flynn, Sophie Ferriter, Arina Sucaci, Kara Kirby, Mary Gibbons, Aoibhinn Hennessy, Chloe O Halloran, Sofia Rybanska, Penny Costello, Roisin Sheehy and Aine Gibbons. Well done girls. Next up we are away to Corcha Dhuibhne on Tuesday April 28th.

Senior Ladies:

Kerry LGFA News: Our U16 Club players had mixed fortunes last weekend. We send our congratulations to Lauren Lawlor & Shauna Quigley who were part of the Kerry U16 team which defeated Limerick in the Sharon O’Keeffe Munster B Final, while Amelie O’Sullivan was part of the Kerry U16 panel who unfortunately, were defeated by Cork in the Munster U16A final. Stacks, Eimear Dillane and the Kerry Minors are away V Waterford this Saturday April 25th in a must win game to qualify for a Munster Final spot. The TG4 Senior Championship will see Kerry play at home V Waterford in Austin Stack Park at 2pm this Sunday April 26th.
