Austin Stacks Ladies Club Open Meeting: The next meeting of the Austin Stacks Ladies Executive will take place on Tuesday 26th September at 7.15pm. This meeting is open to all parents and interested parties and we would very much welcome your attendance. While we have a core group of very good club officers, we really need more involvement from the parents of academy and juvenile team players. We would love to hear all new ideas on ways to improve so we can build the best club for our girls. Please do come along!

U13 Girls: Co. Championship QF: Well done to all the U13 girls who defeated Ballymacelligott in a very entertaining game last Sunday afternoon. They played very well as a team and were rewarded with a convincing victory. The girls gave it their all and this was seen in the fact that there were 9 different scorers. Austin Stacks finished with a tally of 3 goals and 14 points and can be very proud of their performance. We will be at home to Fossa in the Semi Final this Sunday September 24th at 12.30pm

U14 Girls:Our U14’s played in their first outing in North Kerry League Div 1 at home to Listowel last Friday evening. While the girls ultimately lost the match, the coaches are really proud of the team performance. It’s funny to say that even though it was a loss, the all-round commitment and team work saw the girls play their best match all year. Having led by six points with fifteen minutes to go, Listowel’s fitness and experience at Division 1 level told in the end and a brace of goals saw them run out comfortable winners. Our Scorers tonight were Eimear Dillane 0-4; Ellen Lucey 1-02; Penny Costello 1-05; Aoibhinn Hennessy 0-2 and Kara Kirby 1-0. Finally, special mention to Jess Leen, who played her first match with the Club tonight at wing back! She’s following in the steps of her Dad Kenneth who played senior for the club in the not-too-distant past! Next up for the team is an away game V Abbeydorney at 6:30pm this Thursday Sept 21st.

U17 Girls: Tralee District V East Kerry in Legion at 7.30pm this Thursday Sept 21st – any player interested in playing is asked to reply into the Team What’s App Group.
Senior Ladies Intermediate Co. Championship Rd. 6 FT Austin Stacks 3-7 Rathmore 7-8. Played last Sunday morning in Connolly Park at the earlier time of 11.15am. This game pitted us against Table Toppers Rathmore who travelled with a full-strength side. HT Rathmore 6-5 Austin Stacks 1-4. Both sides ran their bench and while Rathmore were comfortable throughout, Stacks played good passages of football too and contributed to a fine sporting match with good scores taken by both sides. Next Sunday is Rd 7 the final round and we will be at home to Corcha Dhuibhne at 12pm. The top 4 teams will contest the semi-finals – current table standings see Rathmore, Scartaglin, MKL Gaels & Firies at the top but it’s all very tight and there’s lots to play for in this weekend’s final round. Austin Stacks team: Jemma O’Connell, Lara Flynn, Kerina Slattery, Grace Reidy, Lily Collins, Aoife Dillane, Mary Moore, Norma O’Connor (0-1), Maeve Mc Kivergan, Caoimhe Barry Walsh, Megan O’Brien (1-0), Laura Rogers (0-1), Lucy O’Donnell (1-1), Saoirse Moriarty (0-3) & Grace Lucid.
