Senior Ladies: Donal Curtin County League Division 3 Rd 7 FT Austin Stacks 2-11 Churchill 0-8; Another win for our Seniors in Connolly Park this morning in a game played in tough wintery conditions. Playing with the aid of a strong win in the first half Stacks had notched up a lead of 1-6 to 0-1 at HT. Stacks continued to control the game in the 2nd half against a young Churchill side who despite having a lot of procession could not break through a Stacks defence who were on top of their game today, led from the back by excellent goalkeeper Chloe Fitzpatrick who brought off 2 fantastic point blank saves in the second half to keep the Churchill threat at bay. There is now a break in games until June 22nd to facilitate the exams. We will then have 3 final League rounds to play 2 home games V Kilcummin & Listowel and a back game away V ISG. We wish Grace Reidy a speedy recovery from a nasty hand injury picked up during the game.
